A major infrastructure project is set to transform Tamaulipas into a key logistics hub with the development of a dry port. This initiative, backed by a $500 million investment, aims to enhance connectivity and streamline the transportation of goods to and from the region.

The dry port will facilitate cargo movement between major trade routes, improving efficiency and reducing logistical costs. The first phase, covering 55 hectares, will include advanced infrastructure such as warehouses and administrative offices. The long-term plan envisions a total development of 2,000 hectares.

Railway Connection with Ferromex

A collaboration with Ferromex will see the construction of a railway line connecting the dry port to Monterrey and Tampico, further optimizing cargo transportation. The port is expected to be operational by 2027, bringing significant economic benefits to the region.
