Presentations highlighted infrastructure modernization projects and progress, reinforcing Manzanillo\u2019s role as Mexico\u2019s main gateway for goods from Asia and the third most important port in Latin America.<\/p>\r\n \r\n <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alow.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/port-of-manzanillo.png\" \r\n alt=\"Container operations at Manzanillo Port\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\">\r\n \r\n <h2>Key Developments at Manzanillo<\/h2>\r\n <p>Manzanillo handles 17,000 containers per day, managing 40% of the country\u2019s maritime imports. Recent developments include:<\/p>\r\n <ul>\r\n <li>Implementation of the early modulation system and new scanners for Customs cargo inspections.<\/li>\r\n <li>Extended operating hours: 24\/7 for exports; Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 9 PM, and Saturdays from 6 AM to 4 PM for imports.<\/li>\r\n <li>The new elevated northern access, which will help alleviate truck traffic congestion.<\/li>\r\n <\/ul>\r\n \r\n <h2>Mexico Confirms Puerto Progreso Construction and Tren Maya Consolidation<\/h2>\r\n <p>The railway project includes the construction of 10 complexes, consisting of five major intermodal terminals.
